The first step of the USA Program involves the screening and selection of prospective international students by the USA Home Country Representative. USA’s Home Country Representative will test, interview, evaluate, and select prospective intl. students in the following areas:

The "Student Portfolio" was structured to indicate where the students currently stand in these areas in order for us to measure their growth while they are in the United States. USA provides an opportunity for each of our international students to grow and develop in these four areas that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

The Student Portfolio contains all of the information that the host family and the private school will need to host and accept the intl. students. All of the forms are the originals that USA Program received from the intl. student and natural parents.

The intl. students will participate in the USA Program for an academic (August to June) or calendar (January to December) year and, if approved, for an additional year or more. The educational goals for most intl. students are to graduate from the private school and obtain a high school diploma. The length of their stay will be determined by their behavior and monthly evaluations from teachers, the host family, and the Local Representative received and reviewed by USA’s Executive Director.
